COVID-19 Test on Journalist

The outbreak of coronavirus has increased so fast that after taking a lot of security measures every day new cases are coming in the capital. Till now media people were allowed to step out for work with their id cards, but from now onwards they need to require a curfew card and their media card both to make the transition in the city. Apart from in Mumbai 53 and in Chennai 52 media people came out as corona positive and there were no symptoms of corona in them. This test was conducted first in Mumbai where 171 media person got tested and in them 53 turned out as corona positive. After which, BMC spokesperson Vijay Khabale said that those who found corona positive they are asymptomatic at present. After this one person wrote down to CM Arvind Kejriwal that all media persons should get corona test in a mass arrangement, on which Mr Kejriwal responded “Sure. We will do that.” After which his government decided to test all media persons though he doesn’t elaborate it much. Before this Mumbai also conducted a special camp at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on 16th April and 17th April for COVID-19 testing of the journalist, and BMC collected all the samples of these 171 persons, including electronic and print media journalists, photographers and cameramen. Out of which 53 found corona positive.
