The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection – IBPS conducts the IBPS Clerk exam every year for the recruitment of candidates for the clerk post in multiple banks across the country. The IBPS Clerk recruitment process includes two phases: – Preliminary Examination and Mains Examination. For the candidates to get selected for the post of clerk in one of the Public Sector Banks, they are required to qualify for both phases with good scores. Syllabus for IBPS Clerk 2021

There are major three sections in the preliminary examination, these are English Language, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability. Each of these sections has multiple topics that the candidate will have to prepare for acing the IBPS Clerk Exam.

There are five major sections in the mains examination. The syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude/ Numerical Ability and English Language is the same for both the stages – mains and preliminary exam. In addition to these two, the other subjects in the mains examination are Computer Knowledge & General Financial Awareness and Reasoning.

The results of the IBPS exams are declared after the completion of each of the phases of the clerk exam. The final selection is done by the release of category-wise merit lists and state-wise merit lists that are prepared in the descending order of marks that are secured by the aspirants in the mains exam.
