Before we start celebrating this day actually I feel we need to understand what is the importance of this day and why we celebrate this. Earth day actually shows the connection of human with nature, plants, land, water which leads towards providing all the necessities to human. Earth day is celebrated every year on 22nd April which reminds us that we need to take care of mother nature, our planet whether in terms of cleaning up litter, planting more trees, recycling and re-purposing, or going on a walk in a green space amidst the wildflowers.

Typically, Earth Day is assigned a different theme or area of focus each year; this year’s theme is Climate Action. As lockdown is going in the whole world because of the pandemic situation, in that case, everyone is celebrating this day from inside of their house. Most years, Earth Day events range from river cleanups to invasive removals but this year people showed up how much nature is cleaned already. With that, they are following social distancing and that’s how this day has gone digital. Virtual events, like environmental lectures and films, will take place on Earth Day. Today NASA scientist also came up and showed how the earth looks from another planet which made people understand the mother nature more.
