Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra together sold 1.31 lakh vehicles
In September 2022, car companies sold 3,55,946 units of passenger vehicles (PV). Which is a new record in terms of monthly sales. In August, 2,81,210 cars were sold as compared to September. During this period, Maruti Suzuki sold 1.48 lakh cars. At the same time, the three companies Hyundai, Tata and Mahindra together could sell 1.31 lakh vehicles.
Mahindra grew 163% in September 2022 as compared to September 2021. The company sold 13,134 cars last year, so this year 34,508 units were sold.
New monthly sales record set
The sales data for September broke the monthly records for July (2022), October (2020) and March (2021). 3,41,370 units were sold in July (2022), 3,34,411 units in October (2020) and 3,13,034 units in March (2021).

Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) chairman Vinkesh Gulati said that September was the best month for PV car sales. Car sales data crosses the record 3.5 lakhs.
Only the top-11 car making companies out of 16 shared their data for September 2022. Renault India, FCA, PCA Motors, Force Motors and Isuzu Motors did not share their data. These 5 companies sold 11,124 cars last month. At the same time, in August, he had sold 9,235 cars.
These Maruti cars sold the most
Maruti Suzuki sold 29,574 units of Alto and S Preso last month. The car sold 72,176 units of Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and Wagon R. At the same time, a total of 32,574 units of the Brezza, Ertiga, S Cross, XL6 and Grand Vitara were sold.
