4G mobiles will no longer be made in India!:

Government of India’s directive – Companies should stop making 3G and 4G smartphones; All phones above 10 thousand will have 5G connectivity

Mobile phone manufacturing companies held a meeting with the top officials of the Government of India on Wednesday. They decided to stop manufacturing 4G smartphones priced at Rs 10,000 or more. Companies will now make only 5G connectivity smartphones worth more than 10 thousand.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT) held a meeting with mobile operators and smartphone makers and directed them to shift to 5G service in 3 months.

750 million mobile users in India

There are currently around 750 million mobile users in India. Of these, 100 million users are using 5G smartphones. But, 350 million users still remain on smartphones with 3G and 4G connectivity. All smartphone makers said that they will not add 4G or less connectivity to mobiles priced above Rs 10,000.

one hour meeting

The meeting with the top smartphone makers of the country lasted for more than an hour. Telecom operators including executives of companies like Apple, Samsung also reached the meeting. These updates are being done to provide smooth 5G network.

5G has started in these cities

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio started providing 5G service in some cities of the country from October 1. Airtel started service in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi. At the same time, Jio started service in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi.

Getting speed of 600MBPS

Cities where 5G service started. Users there complained on Twitter that their data was lost in seconds as soon as 5G internet started. In testing, it was found that the speed of 5G internet is from 500 to 600 megapixels per second.

Jio is giving unlimited 5G internet to its users. At the same time, Airtel is providing 5G internet service in the previous plan of its users. However, both the platforms have not yet revealed their 5G plans.

When will Apple get 5G service?

Apple’s iPhone 12 and later models are getting 5G connectivity. Smartphone makers have started testing 5G network service. At the same time, Apple has not started testing 5G network in India yet. An Apple official said that they are working to provide the best 5G experience in India. Telecom operators will bring software updates for their users as soon as the testing is over. By December, iPhone users will be able to use 5G service.
