Xiaomi recently announced its flagship Mi Mix 4 in China, which arrived as the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC and the first from the company to use an under-display selfie camera. However, the Mi Mix 4 wasn’t the only flagship device to be unveiled at the event. The company also revealed two flagship tablets in the form of the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro.

Mi Pad 5 Pro Specs

The Mi Pad 5 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The Mi Pad 5 Pro is available in Wi-Fi and 5G versions as opposed to the Wi-Fi-only Mi Pad 5 model. The Mi Pad 5 Pro features the same display as its vanilla counterpart. The Mi Pad 5 Pro has a slightly smaller 8,600 mAh battery but doubles the charging support to 67W.

The Mi Pad 5 Pro opts for the same 13 MP main camera but also gets a 5 MP depth sensor. However, the 5G version of the Mi Pad 5 Pro replaces the 13 MP main camera with a 50 MP sensor. The 8 MP selfie camera is the same on both devices. It also comes with four Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers.

Both the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro use MIUI for Pad operating system, a version of MIUI tailored for tablets. MIUI For Pad also supports custom input methods, split screens, small windows, parallel windows, and more. Xiaomi also introduced a stylus pen and keyboard-style double-sided protective case alongside the two tablets.
