Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and this has been also recognized by UNESCO World Heritage site. This wonder of the world is situated in Agra city in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. This is commonly known as the epitome of love, which was made back in 1630 AD.

About Taj Mahal

The history of Taj Mahal begins with the death of the beloved wife of the Emperor Shah Jahan, dated back to 1630 AD. Shah Jahan poured enormous wealth in addition to his passion and life to create this monument. It took 22 years to complete the construction and by more than 20000 workers. It is a symbol of love! . He made this wonder in remembrance of his beloved wife Mumtaz. This Mahal is just not made by using best piece of white but it was also made by seeing a lot of measures, in which if you see its articulate then it is made in such place which is suitable in every season of Indian changing weather conditions. The construction of this place has been done on the banks of holy river Yamuna on one side and on another side a huge lush garden which can blow up anyone’s mind. You can spend hours just by seeing this colossal architecture. Inside of Taj Mahal-the, only one can see the most unaccepted way of seeing this beauty which is its replica which can be seen inside of Taj Mahal only. With a massive reflecting pool stunningly creates the mirage of Taj Mahal which will give your eyes ab great treat. If you go in the detailing of its creation then its arch and dome carved with semiprecious stones carry the painstaking details of craftsmen, the other four pillars made of white marbles slightly lean outwards to protect the mausoleum.

The main mausoleum also has two grand buildings constructed with red sandstone, where one is a guesthouse and other is a mosque. The interiors are influenced by Persian architecture, while exterior reflects the finest architecture of Mughals. With all that it has three entrances, East, West and South gates. In which Western gate is the main entrance and obviously it is highly populated one among all the gates, here you can see long queues and crowd of people who want to see and feel this place from there eyes. South gate is popular among the travellers as this entrance is closer to many budget-friendly hotels in Agra and East gate is less populated and has short queues. However, the distance from the ticket counter and east gate is too long. The timings to visit this place is 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with 20 Rs fee for Indian citizens, 750 rs for foreigners, 510 rs for citizens from SAARC with that it doesn’t have any fee for children’s till the age of 15 years for the both national and for international visitors. This place is closed on Fridays for cleaning and all the purposes, so no person is allowed to enter its area on Friday accept the workers. Further, Taj Mahal is considered as a love symbol and it personifies what is love and is a tribute paid by a man to the love of his life. For love birds, this place makes a lot of sense to capture love and beauty together, and that’s why it is also considered to be visited at least once in a lifetime by every love couple.
