Telangana First State to Extend Lockdown Beyond May 3 Till 7 May

When the pandemic condition is going in all over the world in that PM Modi decided to increase the lockdown in the country for more than 2 weeks after the first phase of lockdown. But now Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced that Telangana will remain shut till 7th May which is an extension of what PM Modi has said. According to PM Modi lockdown 2.0 will get over on 3rd May but Telangana government will continue with the lockdown process till 7th May. Further speaking on the condition in the state Mr K Chandrasheka said that they are doing better then other states and the situation is almost under control in the state, people are following the rules of social distancing and lockdown but to ensure to get rid with this virus cabinet has decided to take lockdown for little longer. “The cabinet has decided to extend the lockdown in the state till May 7. The cabinet will take stock of the situation on May 5 he said. With that, he said that the cabinet will check the situation of the state on 5th May and then they will take any further decision. Four districts – Warangal, Yadradri Bhadradri, Siddipet, Wanaparthy – are coronavirus-free, adding, “We are doing better than many other states”. Also, the testing rate in Telangana is better than the national average rate of this virus. “There is less mortality too,” Mr Rao said. Further on that he said the government will provide 12 kg ration and 1500 rs to 87 lakh ration cardholders in the state with that same services of providing 12 kg rational nd 1500 rs will also be given to those migrants who are currently working in the state. With that, he also informed about the 10 per cent hike in the basic pay of police personals and with that, he also said that the electricity department staff will get its full pay.

From 20th April centre has provided some relaxation to people where they can move in case of emergency, to e-commerce companies for selling their essential goods, courier services, MNREGA works and to the financial sector to work but these services will also remain shut till 7th May in state and no relaxation will be provided to the people. Swiggy, zomato will also remain dysfunctional and private schools are not allowed to increase fee this year they can also ask for the tuition fee of a particular month. Landlords are also been told that they can not as for the house rent for 3 months. “If the centre is giving any relaxation from April 20, the state cabinet has decided that no relaxation will be given in Telangana. Swiggy and Zomato will not be allowed in the state to function from tomorrow,” he said.
